IndyCar Results and Points by Gateway: Josef Newgarden remained the porter of Gateway, Winning for a series-leading fourth time on Saturday at the World Wide Technology Raceway.

78 laps in the lead with his fifth win of the seasonthe two-time IndyCar champion is now three points behind championship leader Will Power.

Power, Newgarden’s team-mate, started from pole position and led at the best for 128 laps before finishing sixth. Team Penske drivers led a combined 218 of 260 laps while third-place finisher Scott McLaughlin led 12 laps.

Rookie David Malukas finished a best career second place at Gateway, passing McLaughlin on the final lap of a race this was delayed more than two hours by rain.

Pato O’Ward and Takuma Sato rounded out the top five.
