The White House dodged a question as to why it would continue to allow it untested and unvaccinated illegal immigrants to the United States, while tennis star Novak Djokovic is banned from this year’s US Open.

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy questioned the Biden administration about the paradox during Monday’s news briefing.

“How come migrants are allowed to come to this country unvaccinated but world-class tennis players are not?” he asked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

“The US government cannot discuss the details of individual visa cases. Also, for privacy reasons, the US is not commenting on individual traveler medical information related to this tennis player,” she replied.

Djokovic, the 2022 Wimbledon winner, will do it miss the US Open about his refusal to be vaccinated.

Jean-Pierre referred the question to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), which she said has its own protocols, saying, “It’s two different things.”

Doocy continued to press Jean-Pierre for comments.

“Someone who is unvaccinated comes by on a plane, you say that’s not okay. Someone who comes to Texas or Arizona unvaccinated, can they stay?”

“It doesn’t work that way. … It’s not like anyone’s going over there,” she replied.

“That’s exactly what’s happening!” Doocy replied. “Thousands of people go in a day. Some of them turn around. Some of them get caught. Tens of thousands a week don’t. That’s what happens.”

Biden has been widely criticized for continuing to let illegal immigrants into border towns while showing symptoms of the coronavirus, and the number of migrants infected with the virus has increased flooded almost 1,000% in some border sectors.

Earlier this month, the CDC expanded Title 42, a Trump-era policy aimed at limiting migrant entry into the United States, citing coronavirus concerns, but that policy does not apply to migrant children.

Doocy and Jean-Pierre also fell out over politics during their exchange.

“Why is there a CDC? [vaccine] Requirements for people flying here as opposed to people crossing the border?” he asked.

“We talked about Title 42,” replied Jean-Pierre. “There is a CDC regulation for people coming over the southern border. It’s not just for tennis players.”

On April 1, 2022, the CDC announced it would rescind Track 42.
