Serena Williams takes a well-deserved break.

After importing what was likely the final game of Friday’s legendary tennis careerWilliams, 40, shared an update on how her weekend is going – and it includes a cozy bed and a Moiana Ceiling.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion posted a photo on Monday morning Instagram cuddled into bed by her, asleep.

“How was your weekend?” she asked her fans. “That was mine…”

In the comments, fans and celebrities alike applauded Williams for her choice of weekend activities and for her career overall.

“If there’s ANYONE who deserves to rest, it’s YOU!!!! Thanks for everything!” read a comment.

Lin Manuel Mirandafor whom the music was composed MoianaShe responded with a quote from the film’s song “I Am Moana.”

“‘I got us to where we are. I have traveled further. I’m everything I’ve learned and deserved even more. New adventures are waiting for you! -LMM”

Williams lost in the third round of the US Open on Friday and is now retired 23 years after her first appearance at the tournament. A month earlier, she had announced that she would be “evolving away from tennis” once she finished playing in the 2022 edition of the tournament.

But after taking the court last week and playing better than expected, beating the second-ranked player in the world on Wednesday, Williams dodged the question of whether it would truly be the end of her pro career.

“I was being pretty vague about that, right?” she said on Monday after her first win at the Open. “I’ll be vague because you never know.”

On Friday, after losing in the third round, Williams was more definitive when asked if she would play in another tournament.

“I don’t think so, but you never know. I dont know.”

After the match, Williams had Kind words for her sister, Venus Williams. After thanking her parents, Williams added, “I wouldn’t be Serena if it wasn’t for Venus, so thank you Venus. She’s the only reason Serena Williams ever existed.”
