Serena Williams’ daughter gets adorable shy at New York Fashion Week

Serena Williams and her daughter Olympia wear matching heart necklaces from the tennis legend’s jewelry line to symbolize how sweet their bond is.

Olympia5, was present at Williams’ presentation of the tennis legend’s clothing line on Monday S from Serena and jewelry line Serena Williams jewelry at Spring Studios in New York City.

The presentation took place at the opening Glam Slam Event, a collaboration between Spring Studios and International Management Group (IMG) that began September 8th. The experience featured a mix of tennis and fashion, with most of the celebrations taking place during New York Fashion Week and the US Open. The tennis grand slam ended Sunday while NYFW runs through Wednesday, September 14.

Williams reflected on an adorable moment between the duo while designing her clothing line.

“Sometimes I say, ‘Which color do you like better? Which dress do you like better?’ and she’ll say, “This one!” Williams remembered. “I’m not sure if she’s just pointing at one to play games afterwards or if she’s serious.”

Williams said being part of a clothing line involves a lot of decisions and helping her little girl narrow down the choices.

“She won’t know that part of the process is actually a point that Olympia picked because it was either or,” the mother added. “I’m going to throw everything out and just say, ‘Take your pick!'”

Olympia, sitting on her aunt Isha Williams’ lap, turned and covered her eyes to express her momentary embarrassment and shyness.
