Roger Federer retires: photos from the tennis legend’s memorable career

Roger Federer announced on Thursday that it was him retirement from professional tennis after the Laver Cup 2022 in London. His career ends with 20 Grand Slam singles titles, 103 tour-level titles and 1,251 Overall wins in individual games.

Federer called it a “bittersweet decision”.

“As many of you know, the last three years have been challenging for me with injuries and surgeries. I’ve been working hard to get back to full competitive form,” Federer said in a written statement and audio clip from his home in Switzerland. “But I also know my body’s capacities and limitations, and its message to me has been clear lately.”
