The 2023 NTT IndyCar Series schedule will feature the same number of races and tracks as this season, with some minor dates changes.
IndyCar opens the 2023 season on March 5 on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida and concludes on September 10 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California. The 107th Indy 500 will be held on May 28th at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The 17-race schedule ends with eight races in the last nine weeks.
“The NTT IndyCar Series is on an impressive upward trajectory, making progress at a pace that matches our exciting style of competition,” said Mark Miles, President and CEO of Penske Entertainment Corp., in a press release. “The 2023 season offers an opportunity to continue building on this trend, bringing our sport and its stars to more markets and households, and reaching new consumers around the world.”
There will be 15 events on NBC: 13 races (including six of the last seven) plus Indy 500 qualifiers May 20-21. There are also three races on USA Network and the Toronto race exclusive to Peacock. All races on NBC and USA will also have live sim-streams on Peacock.
In partnership with NBC Sports, The 2022 IndyCar season was the most watched in six years and the most watched on NBC Sports since records began. The 2022 season was also the most-streamed season of all time.

Notable elements of the 2023 schedule:
– There will be the same balance of seven street courses, five street courses and five ovals.
– St. Pete will be his 13th season opener.
–The Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix will be moved from Belle Isle to downtown streets.
-The NASCAR doubleheader weekend at the IMS street circuit will be rescheduled to mid-August.
–The World Wide Technology Raceway Event will be moved from Saturday to Sunday.
Start times for the 2023 events will be announced at a later date.
